Downtown Projects and Priorities 

Downtown Eugene is the social, economic and cultural heart of our community, and the source of some of Eugene’s most vexing community challenges. Through conversations with residents, businesses, and organizations, Julie helped the City of Eugene develop a list of Downtown Priorities and Projects to guide future improvements: Downtown-Priorities-Projects

From September through November of 2022, the project hosted 11+ small group conversations with 95+ key stakeholders, involved 120+ through a public Open House, collected 1200+ online survey responses, and communicated with 2000+ community members. Involvement included presentations to invested stakeholder groups as well as proactive outreach to Black, Indigenous, people of color, the LGBTQ community, Spanish speaking residents, and organizations representing very low-income residents, people with disabilities, and people without stable housing.
